The Alliance for Peacebuilding (AfP) successfully launched Building Peace: A Forum for Peace and Security in the 21st Century on April 16th, 2013 at the second day of AfP’s Annual Conference, held and the United States Institute of Peace (USIP). To celebrate the launch, the Honorable Ambassador of Mali to the U.S. Al Maamoun Baba Lamine Keita was joined by a select group of Building Peace authors for a panel on peacebuilding approaches to the complex conflict in Mali. Drawing on the perspectives shared in their Building Peace articles, these authors led a discussion about how peacebuilders can work with local and international partners to address root causes of conflict, and bring security to war-torn societies.
